Evening Lawn Bowls with a Twist! This tournament is open to all Royal members.

Join us for a fun evening of lawn bowling featuring two unique and easy-to-learn game variations designed to maximize fun and strategy and develop skills!

Fun on the Green: A Skill-Building Triples Night

✨ Event Details:

▪ Date: Thursday, July 24, 2025 Game Time: 6:30 PM sharp

▪ Arrival Time: Please arrive at the clubhouse before 6:15 PM

 Two games. Format: Triples; Ends: 6

 Jack Ladder Rule: Applies for both games.

• Jack starts at 21 meters (minimum distance for a jack). Each subsequent end increase jack distance by 2 yards

• End 6 distance: ~30.15 meters (Use a yardstick to mark distance) 

Game 1: Line Twist Rule:

 • 1st End: Toss winner chooses delivery line (forehand/backhand) for their lead. Opposing lead must play the opposite line. Vice Skips switch play opposite lines to leads. Skips play same lines as leads. Playsers must stick to lines/hands for the entire end. Standard triples scoring applies.

• Following Ends: Winner of the previous end chooses lin 

Game 2: Double Power Play Ends

Scoring: Standard triples scoring + Power Play twist

Power Play Rules:

• Each team chooses 2 Power Play ends. During a Power Play end, all points scored by that team count double

• Restrictions: 

  • Power Plays cannot overlap. Only one team can have a power play on any end.

  • Power Plays for a team cannot be on back-to-back ends.

  • Skips determine power play ends at the start of the game. Skip on team going first picks first, then opposing lead picks one, then first skip picks their second power play end, then opposing skip picks their second power play end.
